SB 397 - This act prohibits nonprofit unit owner associations and property owners' associations from requiring their members to be members of another corporation or from charging its members for services or benefits provided by another corporation. The members of the unit owners' associations or property owners' associations may voluntarily agree to be a member of another corporation or agree to pay for services provided by another corporation.
This act is similar to SB 178 (2001).
